It is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. So it is with us. With the launching of the website in September 2000, we have embarked on a long journey whereby we will see a progressive buildup on news, happenings and information to be shared with our clients, friends and associates.
The need for a website was spurned due to the escalating use of software technology in the business world today. The need for was recognized some time ago but for a spectrum of reasons procrastination set in and the launching was put off until last year in step with the new Millennium.
Looking back over 26 years since our establishment, the company has grown progressively to its current status with 105 no. of staff based both in the head and site offices. Since its inception in 1975 (when it was known as Hashim & NEH Sdn Bhd ), PHNEH has been providing services in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy to both the local and overseas clientele.
Besides the Technical and Engineering Consultancy services, PHNEH is also expanding its services in the Project Management Consultancy offered under the sister company HNH Contract Management Services Sdn Bhd.
On the economic front, in tandem with the country's rapid emergence from the lows of recession of 1997, PHNEH has begun to taste the fruits of the overall economic revival. In the process we have not only chalked up a record project completion worth up to RM 1.5 billion but we have earned new projects of the likes of Hospitals, Universities and Infrastructure works that should keep us busy for at least the next three to five years.
With our track record and reputation in the market, we have ably and positively proven the prophets of doom grossly wrong in their predictions. At the company level, we have conscientiously and gradually trained and aligned the staff towards the objectives set in achieving ISO 9001 which we have obtained accreditation in 2000 and has since been renewed in March 2001.
With the onset of the new Millennium, we will be striving to expand our scope of services and capabilities to a broader range to cater to the ever-changing business environment and rapid technological advancements. We also intend to explore the foreign market for new business opportunities and achievements.
I have great confident that with the hard work and continued cooperation of staff in Perunding Hashim & NEH, we shall be able to achieve the goals set for the future.
